Yangsheng Chinese Dietary Therapy

Dietary therapy is one of the pillars of Chinese medicine and a core element of the yangsheng "nourishing life" tradition.

Most people understand the basics of healthy eating, but not everybody's needs are the same. Beyond the vitamin and mineral content of different foods, Chinese dietary therapy aims to maintain health and treat disease by considering every individual's unique constitution and requirements. It recognises that these requirements can change throughout the seasons and the course of our lives, as well as when we are in sickness or good health.

By carrying out an in-depth consultation, I will assess your needs and work with you to develop the most appropriate eating plan for you based on your likes, dislikes, capabilities, and nutritional requirements. In this way, we will ensure that your dietary needs are met in a way that is enjoyable, nourishing, and sustainable.

Chinese dietary therapy can provide many benefits, including:

  • Developing an eating plan that is carefully tailored to meet your individual needs

  • Keep eating the foods you love while nurturing your health

  • A focus on creating general wellness as well as managing symptoms

  • Understanding how your diet affects your health using paradigms from around the world

  • Connecting the dots between various symptoms or complaints

  • Sourcing research studies and helping to make sense of them if necessary
